Motivation

Looking for help out there...How do you stay motivated to run? I run alone most all of the time. Sometimes a brief run with my wife, but 99% of my training is done alone. I have trouble pushing myself out the door at times and I am sure if I had some training partner or partners that I would train harder. The problems are pretty simple I work rotating shift work, schedule changes every week so there is no consistency to my training and there are just very few if any persons in my town that want to train to the extent that I want to. So what do I do...any ideas or helps out there?

A good idea, I think, would be to find some trails 1/2 way between Tulsa and Ponca. You drive 1/2 way, I drive 1/2 way, and we tear up some trails.
Where, you ask? Well. Osage State park between Bartlesville and Pawhuska has 6 miles of trails or so. There is also Lake McMurtry....trails that we ran in the race, and about the same amount of trails on the east side of the lake. I have not ran the east trails, but Earl tells me they are good.

Your thoughts?

I just need to make an effort to get to T-town more often and hit the trails with the group. I am encouraged that for the Estim8tor there are I think 8 people from Ponca, don't know that any of them want to push to the edge, but who knows. I would also love to meet in Stillwater sometime, I'll bring the post run hydration BEER.
